Cardiovascular fitness (often called aerobic fitness) is one of the building blocks of physical fitness. Cardiovascular fitness is defined as the ability of your heart and lungs to supply oxygen via your blood cells to muscle tissue while you exercise. The ability of the muscles to use that oxygen to move the body is undeniably linked to overall health. ENDURANCE TRAINING
When you train for endurance you are exercising to increase your endurance for exercise, or the amount of time in which you can maintain exercise and movement. Endurance is directly related to cardiovascular health and the ability to withstand any exercise at all. There are two To improve cardiovascular endurance you train the aerobic system as opposed to the anaerobic system. HIGH-INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING
HIIT workouts are all the rage and have been gaining popularity for a number of years.
HIIT or high-intensity interval training just means short, intense or all-out bursts of exercise. The workout interval is then followed by short active or passive recovery periods. There are a number of ways to execute HIIT workouts. You can try it Tabata style or as simple as one minute on one minute off. You can utilize any type of exercise. Running, rowing, plyometrics, body weight movements, Olympic lifts, and traditional strength training exercises are all common choices. The possibilities are endless and that’s exactly what makes HIIT workouts so exciting and easy to incorporate into your fitness routine. LOW IMPACT CARDIOVASCULAR TRAINING
If you are deconditioned, dealing with an injury, or just interested in improving your cardiovascular fitness in a gentle way, low-impact cardio workouts are what you are looking for. Low-impact exercise involves no jumping and has little to no hard impacts on the joints. Low-impact exercise can be enjoyed by all ages and for a lifetime. Castle Hill Fitness offers several low-impact exercise options like Indoor Cycling that give you the same heart benefits as other forms of cardiovascular exercise like running but with none of the impacts.
