As of May 18, Governor Abbott has allowed gyms and fitness studios to reopen, however, not every studio and gym is open. In this post, we will answer some frequently asked questions on what that means for you and your Castle Hill Fitness community. We’ve received overwhelming support from you during these uncertain times and we are committed to staying with you through it all. We are in this together, even if we’re apart.

IS CASTLE HILL FITNESS CLOSED?
A: Kind of. We are operating virtually at this time. We offer over 70 daily live stream classes, virtual training, and special email content for members that keep their membership active during this time. See the full guide of what we’re doing here.

WHEN WILL YOU REOPEN?
A: We are planning to slowly reopen sometime in June. For the rest of May, we are finalizing cleaning and distancing guidelines, the phased reopening of some amenities, and training staff on new protocols. Some amenities and activities will not be available in the first phase. Click for more.
WHAT WILL THE GYM LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU REOPEN?
A: Per the Open Texas guidelines put forth by the Governor’s office we will control capacity with reduced hours and creating a reservation system to book a specific workout time. Reopening plan details are here.

ARE YOU STILL CHARGING MEMBERSHIP DUES?
A: Yes, unless you freeze or cancel. We are a small business and our instructor team is beaming into your living rooms everyday with Live Stream classes. If you’re more the workout-by-myself type, we are posting workout ideas and inspirations through daily emails. We know that online-only offerings are not what you signed up for – you signed up for the community! But we are a small business, a local business, and we are working around the clock to still bring you value while we are all stuck inside 6 feet away from each other. If you want to support the continued health of our business and service providers, one way to do that is to maintain your membership.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR LIVE STREAM CLASSES? WHERE IS THE SCHEDULE?

I’M A MEMBER. DO MY CLASSES COUNT TOWARDS LIVE STREAM CLASSES?
A. Yes. If you have an active Castle Hill Fitness membership you will be able to attend live-stream classes. Book here – we can’t wait to see you!

I’M A MEMBER, HOW MANY LIVESTREAM CLASSES DO I GET?
A: It depends on your level of membership. The premier level gets 8/virtual classes per month, VIP level has unlimited classes.

I FROZE MY MEMBERSHIP. CAN I TAKE LIVE STREAM CLASSES?
A. Maybe. You will need to either purchase non-member classes or thaw out your membership to join in. Our concierge team can help you with that – email them here.
I’M NOT A MEMBER. CAN I TAKE LIVE STREAM CLASSES?
A. Yes. Beginning March 30, you can purchase class passes. You will need a MindBody account to sign-up (but that’s free too).
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR A ZOOM ACCOUNT?
A. No. You can have a basic Zoom account for free.
WHAT IS YOUR LIVE STREAM CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY?
A: During Shelter in Place, you can cancel online or in the app up to 1 hour before class start time. If you know you can’t make class, please advance cancel to give others your spot (it’s the nice thing to do). Once you advance cancel your class pass will be unused and added back to your account.
Late Cancels: If you cancel and it’s less than 1 hour before class start time, you will be marked as a late cancel and your class will not be returned to account. Please be courteous to those on a waitlist and keep your schedule updated and cancel in advance.
If I freeze my account now, when can i re-activate it? Is there a charge to re-activate?

Hi Gloria, you can freeze for up to 4 months and during this CoVid craziness we are waiving all freeze fees. Please send your request to concierge@castlehillfitness.com and they will touch base on Monday.
