CH: How Long have you been a member at Castle Hill? PB: I joined in August of 2003
CH: What is your regular routine at Castle Hill? PB: When in town I tend to go daily. Twice a week I take a spinning class, one day Pilates and on the days that I do not have spinning I do 50 minutes on the treadmill. I also work out with weights for 15 minutes 3 times a week.
CH: What changes have you made with your Health & Fitness Lifestyle since becoming a member of Castle Hill? PB: I have been working out most of my life, but I probably am doing it more consistently since joining Castle Hill
CH: Do you take classes? PB: Yes, spinning on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Dave, and Pilates on Monday with Mel
CH: What is your favorite class/instructor? I enjoy both of them (David & Mel) very much. GREAT instructors, and they can make the class fun, which I think is crucial to allow you to maintain a class routine week in week out
CH: Do you personal train? PB: Not any more. I used to some years ago.
CH: What motivates you to keep on track? PB: My number one motivator is weight control. I love to eat out at good restaurants, and also enjoy drinking good wine!
CH: What have been the biggest obstacles with fitness? None really.
CH: What are you most proud of? PB: Being able to maintain a constant regime of exercise throughout the years
CH: What’s your greatest health & fitness achievement? PB: Not having to vary the intensity of my workouts over the past decade, being able to maintain the same level of fitness.
CH: Are there areas that you are still working on? PB: I am in a “maintaining status quo” mode J
CH: Any thoughts you can leave us with? PB: I am not sure I would have kept up my frequency and attendance had it been another gym. I truly enjoy everything about castle Hill; the physical facilities, the wonderful people that work there, the congenial atmosphere. Have made many personal friends from the people that I met at Castle Hill.
CH: When you are not working out at Castle Hill what do you do? (for a living/fun) I am almost completely retired (still do a little consulting work) so I am able to indulge in some of the other fun things in life: I love to travel, try to get back to my home in Brazil at least twice a year, I love to eat out, go to the movies quite frequently, mostly to foreign or indie films. Like to go for long drives and hikes (frequent visitor of Big Bend).
CH: Thank you Peter! It’s always great to see your smiling face at the Castle!
