LEARN THE ART OF MEDITATION IN MOTION
The practice of Tai Chi Chuan balances the “great polarity” otherwise known as yin & yang. These opposing forces are in constant flux in nature and our bodies, and Tai Chi Chuan teaches us how to live in harmony with these forces. The benefits of a consistent practice are vast - many practitioners report improved balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and enhanced immunity.
Sharpen your focus and find your true inner strength in a 4-week series proven to reduce stress, improve coordination and energy, and reduce risk of falls. Appropriate for all ages, levels, and abilities.
What to Expect:
Week 1: Introduction to Tai Chi fundamentals, including basic stances, postures, and movements. Learn the principles of alignment and flow.
Week 2: Build on stances and postures from week 1, and begin integrating breath and movement.
Week 3: Begin stringing together postures into sequences and refine your technique.
Week 4: Combine postures, breath, and meditation into a flowing sequence. Emphasis on mindfulness and application of Tai Chi principles in daily life.
Each session will build upon the previous: including stillness and guided movement, resulting in a simple routine to cultivate a sense of calm and well-being that can be practiced for a lifetime.
